You are solely responsible for the content you create on Civy, including ensuring the accuracy and legality of the information provided in your CVs and Cover Letters. Civy does not store your personal data on our servers; all data remains in your local browser storage.

3. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Civy and its licensors.

4. Third-Party Advertisements & Payments

Civy is a 100% free platform. We do not charge users for creating resumes, cover letters, or using our calculators.

We may display advertisements from third-party networks (e.g., Google AdSense).
Civy is NOT responsible for the content, products, or services offered by these advertisers.
If you click on an advertisement and make a purchase or payment, that transaction is strictly between you and the third party. Civy has no involvement in such transactions and shall not be liable for any financial loss or damages incurred.

5. Disclaimer for Educational & Research Tools

The GPA Calculator, Citation Generator, Key Point Extractor, and other educational tools provided on Civy are for estimation and informational purposes only.

Please be aware of the following:

GPA Calculator: Universities often update their grading schemes without notice. Civy does not guarantee that our calculator reflects the most current university standards. You must verify results with your official transcripts.
Citation Generator: Citations are generated algorithmically based on the input you provide. It is your responsibility to check the accuracy of the generated citations against official style guides (APA, IEEE, Harvard, etc.). Civy is not liable for any academic misconduct, plagiarism, or grade deductions resulting from incorrect citations.
Key Point Extractor: The summarization tool uses client-side logic to identify potential key sentences. It does not "understand" text like a human and may miss nuances. Do not rely solely on this tool for critical research or legal document analysis.
No Liability: You agree that Civy cannot be held accountable for any academic decisions, failures, or misunderstandings based on the use of our tools.

6. General Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "AS IS," and Civy offers no warranty regarding the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of the documents generated. Civy is not responsible for any hiring decisions, academic outcomes, or damages resulting from the use of our Service.
